The oldest historically recorded Greek wine variety that Aristotle, Homer and Hesiod have praised in their texts, is cultivated and ripens with the breeze of the Thracian Sea in one of the oldest vineyards. wine with a robust taste, the gloriouslimnio carries on its label a character as wild and free as the wine itself. the Aegagros or common wild goat (capra aegagrus) is directly linked to the Greek tradition and fauna of the country. Thus it becomes a trademark for one of the most characteristic bottles of the Vourvoukeli estate.

Moderate, ruby-red color

 

Bouquet

A bouquet dominated by aromas of cherries, strawberries, pomegranate, and spices.

 

Taste

Low to moderate acidity, full-bodied, and well-treated tannins, that are integrated into the overall taste well. A fruity taste, with the alternation of berries, spices, and dark chocolate.

 

VINIFICATION

The vinification takes place through fermentation and extensive extraction (lasting 15-20 days), in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Aging takes place in American and French oak barrels, with a capacity of 300l for six months, including malolactic fermentation.

The vineyards are located in Avdira, at the southeastern end of the Protected Geographic Indication area.
