Basketball is played in countless places and places across the United States — and while the game remains fundamentally the same, there are many variables that can affect a young player`s experience. Therefore, the distance of the line is not applicable to these age segments. Eliminating the 3-point basket in these age segments will encourage players to shoot from a development range. For students in grades 9 to 12, a 22`2″ bow is preferred, but if this line is not in the same location, the next available line below 22`2″ is recommended.
